Re: iPhone's - Anyone else smell something amiss?

I've CW'd the two iPhone listings and asked TM to check them out. They definitely look dodgy, and it's likely to end in tears for someone. I see that there's 10 and 12 respective unanswered questions on these auctions as well. I hope that TM act quickly, given that they close in 20 hours. Good spott...

Windows of opportunity

From yesterday's Side Swipe: Windows of opportunity Peter writes: "I had a call last night from a man with an accent. He was from the 'International Microsoft Windows Help Desk' ... Apparently my computer is full of dangerous viruses. The kind man offered to help me solve this problem. I told him th...

Signed.

The warrant that I got last week is even on there - and the graphs on mileage are interesting.

Re: Photographers masquerading as Talent Scouts

What you're entitled to get by way of the portfolio will depend entirely on what's written in the contract that you signed. You'll need to read this carefully and if the terms state that you receive a copy of the portfolio either during or at the end of the agreement, I would write to them and send ...

Auctions Cross-Updating - TM Take Note

TM - Please Note with Urgency Here's another doozy from the dozy end of TM's technical department. I went through all my current listings last night to update shipping details - firstly, to increase my courier costs as the price has risen with the GST increase, and secondly to add in a ParcelPost (...

New limitations on listing photos!!!

I spent a considerable amount of time last night uploading 80 odd photos to My Photos in TM with the intention of creating a bunch of new listings tonight. Given how primitive TM's listing process is I always upload photos separately so that the listing process doesn't drag on forever as I use multi...

Re: Sella - Fake Iphone 4

Now let say i report him to apple, you think apple will do something about it? Apple don't specify a policy around this on their site, so it's hard to determine what the outcome (if any) might be. It certainly wouldn't hurt to advise them, as they may have received other complaints about this selle...

Re: Sella - Fake Iphone 4

The phone was advertised with the title iPhone (an Apple brand) and clearly displays the Apple logo in this photo: http://www.sella.co.nz/images/thumb/h/9/l/6h5h9l-640x500.jpg Assuming the phone is not a legitimate iPhone it can be reported to counterfeit@apple.com. With regard to completing an appl...

Hi Pliskin

Can you please post a link to the original Sella auction? It would be useful to see how the phone was originally described.

Cheers

Re: Lasoo - the new Ferrit?

It's a NZ Post venture. More here: New Zealand Post launched a new site this week, called Lasoo, which seems at first glance to be a pointless race toward the empty space on the internet that Ferrit once tried to own. However, unlike Telecom's Ferrit debacle, the Lasoo site appears to be relatively ...
