Trademe - major outages & other screwups

Irrational behaviour and incomprehensible decisions 101 - this is the place. If they're really silly, you could win a chocolate fish.* (* Highly unlikely and they're only virtual chocolate fish)

I've been watching this thread in tm general

Maybe this is what's been causing it. So many "naughties" that removing them has overloaded the whole system??? Wonder what's frightened tm this much? Miracles can happen?

Gosh... Trade Me's had a clean out!!!

1. Gosh... Trade Me's had a clean out!!!
About a fortnight ago, after something on the MB, I went for a wonder through my black list..I must have had about 80 members in there, most with terrible feedback. Today Ive had a look and there's only about 10 left, a quick look up of the "dissapared ones" and they are all disabled!. Trade Me must have hired a "weekend disabler"!!! (sp)

I had a look at mine and it's true. Most of them are gone gone gone!!!

Wonder what's frightening tm????

Site Announcements

16 August - About this morning's outage
This morning we experienced a complete site outage for 45 minutes .

Our normal practice is to extend affected auctions to ensure sellers can realise their best price and buyers get the opportunity to place their best bid. We originally announced that we intended to extend auctions, as per our normal practice.

Due to a related technical issue, we were not able to successfully extend auctions after this morning's outage. We are looking into how to better ensure auctions are reliably extended in the event of a site outage.

Our team takes our responsibility to keep the Trade Me site up and fast very seriously and we apologise unreservedly for any impact the events of this morning had on our buyers or sellers.

The Trade Me Team
We originally announced that we intended to extend auctions, as per our normal practice.

What draft was that FFS?

Intended?

You actually STATED:
All auctions closing between 11.10 am and 12.30 pm have been extended by 80 minutes.
