TM hiding bad feedback and traders

Irrational behaviour and incomprehensible decisions 101 - this is the place. If they're really silly, you could win a chocolate fish.* (* Highly unlikely and they're only virtual chocolate fish)

TM hiding bad feedback and traders

Post by Googlybear » Tue Jan 27, 2015 6:04 am

TM are now making so many changes to the site in an attempt to hide bad feedback and dodgy traders.

here`s one that being an API command for feedback statistics would have slipped under most radars

http://developer.trademe.co.nz/api-refe ... ck-counts/
Requires Authentication? Yes
notice it reqires authentification just to retrieve a members feedback rating.
i knew this is a recent change and the trusty wayback machine shows this

http://web.archive.org/web/201210021028 ... ck-counts/
Requires Authentication? No
It appears TM did not appreciate users accessing this command to collect bulk statistics on traders feedback ratings so have forced authentication.
That way they can simply block any app they don`t like.
