http://www.metacafe.com/watch/303361/pa ... _revealed/

279sec video showing how much slower(=harder) it is to hack a "Strong" password.

NOT applicable to TM accounts - TM unfortunately GIVE the hackers 50% of your Log-In (Your Nic) The hackers will get your email addy from OTHER hacked accounts - Take control of your email addy (very, very easy if it's Net based) then TM SEND the hackers your password because the hackers will click http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/PasswordReminder.aspx!

TM need to educate their members (& their staff) starting immediately.

So, not only hackers, scammers, phishers and other mongrels that get a hold of your email address through nefarious means, can very easily hack your TM account ..... anyone you trade and have email contact with can as well!!

I'm knocking on Sam's head and shouting, "Hello, is anyone in there?"

...and has know it for many years now. Did he tell Fairfax? - Who knows - does he care - NO.

Scam's on TM make them $1000's per day - every day.

TM is "just a venue" though so our wrath should be sent elsewhere. - Anwhere BUT Commerce commission, fairfax,NetSafe (The Internet Safety Group),
