These forums are ranked 4/10 on Google - that's not too bad from our perspective. However every link that's placed in these forums passes on a little Google magic to the target site. We're seen as a reasonably credible source, so our 'recommendation' helps the ranking of the target site. While this is often desirable, it's not so good when it comes to sites providing poor service or operating scams. Luckily, there's a way to avoid that scenario.
If you want to link to a "bad" site without providing them with any 'Google juice' use The DoNotLink service. There are two ways to do this.
1. Go to http://www.donotlink.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and enter the target address;
2. Just put http://www.donotlink.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; at the head of your link. It works with every URL - there are full details on the DoNotLink site.
