Timewasters who should be disabled

Shill bidding, contact details in auctions… anything that’s not a scam per se but breaches TM’s terms and conditions.

Timewasters who should be disabled

Appalling FB, timewasters... list `em here as you find them. Let's start with...

- Finally disabled -

Note from admin: some of these traders have finally been disabled. But that doesn't mean that they're not back under a new ID. Be careful out there folks!

Clive's link above refers to Gazzaah who seems to have got into trouble selling air hockey and pool tables. An inordinate number seem to have arrived in broken condition and it appears that a shipment went missing along the way as there are a few "still waiting" FBs. A number of the happy faces should be reds as well.

And Gary from Hamilton may have gone AWOL...

Personally I think it is well overdue now that TM implemented a process where any buyer fails to complete a trade because of time wasting should have the refund taken out of their account and given back to the seller to compensate for the listing fees which are non-refundable.
I for one would absolutely love to see that happen! Or alternatively implemented a penalty system where they fine time wasting buyers say $5.00 for each time wasting!!

One I struck who WAS disabled......
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Feedba ... er=1871656

Odd thing is, all the purchased items were war books.....
I was in contact with the last trader who left feedback.... was originally a yellow but clearly annoyed and had (like myself) been patient and made many efforts to contact trader, but that yellow left trader at "0" - changing that when he gave up trying to get trader to complete purchase meant trader went to -2. Oddly enough, neither I nor the last trader made a complaint to TM, and it's the quickest I've seen one like this be disabled.

This one is probably heading for disablement, though.... See my own auction ended 16th December

Despite several polite emails from me (expressing understanding it's a busy time of year), no contact at all..... I've been refunded, and have relisted but

[a] I suspect that I'm not the only one
and
I'll wait a full month in case on holiday, before placing feedback (hasn't been online since 31st Dec).

Sad to see traders with big feedbacks like this being timewasters.....

If you read all this person's feedbacks about half of the happy faces shouldn't be there... fear of the retaliatory feedback thing again.

Subject of a thread Negative Feedback in TMG

Common themes in feedbacks: (as buyer)
Appalling trader - I emailed and left feedback requesting contact. She emailed me on 11/01 explaining (see below) then left me negative feedback on 12/01. Check the rest of her feedback and trade with caution!
No response from buyer despite 3 emails.
I'm sick of waiting for you do contact me. Please don't waste genuine traders time if you don't intend to go through with an auction, it really isn't fair.
No payment and no communication, very poor!.
Response on nadz1971 feedback page:
very expensive courier charge.......
trader responded: 14 Jan 2007
Won this auction and has avioded paying. All fees are clearly listed on the auction and i am still waiting for payment.......
Traders beware!!!! As from others and me this trader is a complete waste of time, no contact what so ever, by the feedback trade me should ban you until you get your act together!!
Time waster! Pulled out of trade very disappointed as they obviously hadn't intended to pickup item and cost me not only money listing and selling item but other potential bidders winning this auction.
(as seller)
sorry would not trade with this trader again. paid for item 15th didn't receive until 28th. poorly packaged. ad should state garment not new. garment stained, very disapointed with it.
