that's the one. dexic.lys = me. Unfortunately Trade Me's new "security" software detected that both my wife and I post on the message boards and so my account was deleted till they get off their butts and decide we are actually 2 seperate people.

Shame I have had to go through this with them before. I wish they were this onto it with their scammers and rip off artists.

Anyway can someone jump into the thread and point them in this direction. I am actually surprised the thread has lasted this long. It looks like there are a few more that need to come over.

through her cokecoke identity about twenty of them, she went to court but police said they had more charges against her so put off to a later date, but she walked out the door to FAIRGO yehaaaa:)

Fair go for Cambridge woman

Cambridge resident Natasha Fuller just wanted to feel pampered after turning 30 and the birth of her daughter three months ago. So, she decided to treat herself and searched the internet for some hair extensions.



She didn't have to look very far to find what she thought was a great deal and jumped at the chance at getting hair extensions at about a third of the price of what it usually costs.


However, it was clear to Natasha from the moment the woman arrived on her doorstep that something wasn't quite right. She says the woman was not only dressed appallingly, she wasn't actually a qualified hairdresser.


But clinging on to the thought she was getting a bargain, Natasha went ahead anyway. Three days later it was obvious something was drastically wrong. The glue that was never supposed to be used in the first place was coming away from her scalp.


"Trailer-trash is how I would describe it; it looked absolutely hideous," Natasha says.
"On the website you see all these women with luscious locks and you think that's what it's going to turn out like."


It took a close friend, who is a hairdresser, three hours to remove the extensions from Natasha's head. When Natasha tried to ring the woman to get a refund, the woman was nowhere to be found. And then the phone call from Fair Go came.


It seems Natasha isn't the only one who feels ripped off and the consumer rights advocate is on the case. Fair Go presenter Phil Vine and his crew visited Natasha's home last Friday and are determined to find the woman who has allegedly taken the money of thousands of women around the country.


After interviewing Natasha, Phil and his team flew to Christchurch to see another alleged victim of the same deal. Natasha has pretty much let go of all hope that she will see her money again.


"I'm really gutted, all I wanted was to feel a bit special," Natasha says. "I just want to find her before she does it to anyone else."


Natasha is trained as a private investigator and says if she ever finds out where the woman lives she will go there and personally confront her.

"She peed-off the wrong person," Natasha says. "People need to be warned."

There is a video online regarding these two. I personally feel the 80 hours community service is a joke, these people were deliberately ripping people off as explained they created several accounts under false names.

Fair Go also had Dean Winter in the studio to talk about how Trade Me deal with shill bidders and how they detect those who set up new accounts with bogus names.

I agree with you here. There was talk about goods being lost in transit (using courier post, they don't cock up that many times) ... goods supplied from overseas (not sent), which is dropshipping ... hair extensions of poor quality and unuseable. Many buyers being out of pocket and not refunded and ignored email correspondence. There was testimony from at least eight people who had been conned ... and the fact that the two started up multiple accounts with false names adds the cherry on top. Would a legitimate honest salesperson use a false name? Answer, absolutely not.

The judge got it wrong, this was deliberate dishonesty not just theft and 80 hours community service is not enough for these two con artists. It also showed Dominic Visser in tears at the dock, I watched that and did not feel sorry for him one bit, you could tell he was full of shit and produced a sob story to look like remorse.

I'd be careful about jumping to that conclusion. Given their recent Court appearance I doubt that Amanda and Dominic would be stupid enough to repeat the scam on TradeMe so soon.
